The German Lacrosse Association DLaxV e. V. is glad to announce the participation of a German national team at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships (WILC) 2015. This will be the first time a German team will take the international indoor lacrosse stage and represent the fastest growing sport world-wide.
The tournament will take place in Syracuse, USA from Sep 18th – 27th hosted by the inventors of the game, the Onondaga Nation. The players of team Germany were selected over the last 6 month and mainly consist of German grown Lacrosse players. Looking at competing against 13 countries for the world championship team Germany is getting ready for the tasks ahead of them. With many training camps left before the big trip over the pond the players are facing challenges off the field as well. Because the German Indoor Lacrosse program has only existed for one year, the team budget is very small. As a result players have to compensate not only for travel, accommodation, food, equipment and logistics which in total is about 2200$ per player, but also tournament fees of over 4000$.
The team is proud to represent their country in large arenas with up to 2500 seats and televised games. If you are interested in supporting the German Indoor Lacrosse Team on our way to the WILC and want to be represented at the biggest event in Indoor Lacrosse history, please do not hesitate to contact us.
