Cardiff Demons are the only standalone Women’s team in the sport of Rugby League. Currently playing out of Cardiff University Playing Fields (Llanrumney, Cardiff) they have developed and fielded 56 players, as well as fielded both a U14s and U16s team, in one off games. While based in Cardiff the team has seen players from across South Wales and Bristol join the team in search of the experience and level of competition that the team offers.

With a record of 27 wins and 8 losses the Demons have created a winning culture that has seen them prove time and again that they deserve to be competing in the Super League, having beaten the current 5th ranked and 8th ranked side in the UK. The aim of competing in the Super League is not a marketing play, it is a realistic goal that can be achieved with your support.

In the first 4 years the team has reached 4 consecutive finals and won 2 Super League South titles. They have progressed in their first 2 appearances at the Challenge Cup to the Quarter Final stages making them the only non Super League club to do so. Finally they have progressed to 2 of 3 Nines final days, where the most recent outing saw the Demons record a historic win over St Helens women.

The upcoming season will see the Demons take their first step into the new national pyramid. This will see them competing in the only Anglo-Welsh rugby competition, furthermore, taking the next step in the journey to being the only non-northern based side to compete in the Super League. All this will be achieved by building a sustainable pathway for elite Womens sport in South Wales
